Mommy and Me Dance Class with Mackenzie Dukes (Monday's 10am-10:45am AND Saturday's 9:00am-9:45am)

This dance class will have your tot to wiggling, clapping, and singing - and you get to tag in on the fun! Stretches and games to increase flexibility begin the class, ending with exercises to let out your child’s extra energy. Parents and guardians will join the instructor to introduce their toddlers to movement through music, singing, and games, as well as learning their left from right and developing hand-eye coordination. No specific attire required.

7th-12th grade students Musical Theatre with Lizzie Charlton (including performances of Camp Rock) (Monday's 4pm-6pm)

Welcome to Camp Rock! We will spend the semester learning the techniques to become strong musical theatre performers and end with a fully produced show! For any level of performer, we will specifically look at character development from reading our script, how to understand singing from a score, and work on our movement through dance. We will also learn an entire show and have a weekend of performances for family, friends, and the general public in November! DATES TBD. Scripts will be provided within the first couple of weeks. Please bring a water bottle and snack if needed, or money to purchase here. Depending on costumes, be prepared to provide shoes (probably street shoes they already own), some costume pieces, and undergarments for backstage.

Advanced Tap with Heather Arnold (Monday's 5pm-6pm)

This class is for the tapper who has mastered the foundations and the intermediate skills and is ready to put them to use in a more thorough way. We will be learning more complex choreography, modified steps, and harder rhythmic combinations at a faster pace. Tap Shoes required. *Placement in this class by instructor discretion”

Intermediate Tap with Heather Arnold (Monday's 6pm-7pm)

This class is for the dancer who is ready to take the next step in their tap dancing journey. We will work on more complex steps, more intricate rhythms and longer more involved combos all while building on the vocabulary and skill set achieved in the beginning class. Tap Shoes required. *Placement in this class by instructor discretion.

Beginning tap with Heather Arnold (Tuesday's 4pm-5pm)

This class will get your toes tapping and time stepping right into the art of classic Broadway style tap. Perfect for absolute beginners or those who have want to refresh the basic foundations. We will be learning the foundation steps of tap dancing that build upon each other to create combinations. Focusing on basic rhythms, patterns, and techniques, this class will build a dancers arsenal of basic steps and terms as well as introduce the learning of short combos. Tap shoes required.

Jazz and Musical Theater Dance with Mackenzie Dukes (Middle/Highschool) (Tuesday's 5pm-6pm)

Ready to expand your knowledge of jazz hands and squares? Students will explore jazz technique and learn foundational skills necessary for everyone in musical theater! Most weeks will include a warm up, exercises in center and across the room, and a choreography combo. Musicality and expression are so important for this style so there will be many fun exercises to get dancers grooving. Loose, comfortable clothing and jazz shoes required.

Acting I (for high school AND adults!) with Lizzie Charlton (Tuesday's 6pm-7pm)

Dive into a script, learn how to understand a character, connect with others onstage, and deliver your lines honestly. Through scene work, technique, and acting philosophy, discover your process as an actor for any show you are in! We will learn how to analyze a script, build goal-oriented characters, and move well onstage. Actors will leave with two fully analyzed and contrasting monologues. Bring a notebook/journal to take notes. No devices please.

Ballet with Mackenzie Dukes (Wednesday's 4:15-5:00pm) (Ages 4yrs through 3rd grade)

This class will introduce young dancers to the beginning techniques of ballet. While it is a very classical style, we find a lot of ways to have fun in this class! Students will learn so many important skills: posture and stage presence, ballet/dance terminology, how to properly turn, flexibility, musicality, and, of course, ballet movement! Every class will begin with stretching then barre, and then center and floor exercises. Dancers will need to have ballet shoes, a leotard, tights/leggings, and shorts/skirt (optional) and have their hair pulled back into a secure ponytail or bun if applicable.

Jazz and Musical Theatre with Mackenzie Dukes (Wednesday's 5pm-6pm) (Adult)

_This class is designed to give adult dancers the individual feedback and experience to bring them confidence when performing dancer numbers on stage! Whether experienced or new to the craft, this class will expand the limits of what the performers think they can do in an encouraging environment. We’ll learn posture, turns, jazz technique, leaps, arm placement, choreography combos, and more. Come in comfortable clothing. Jazz shoes required. _

Beginning contemporary with Mackenzie Dukes (Wednesday's 6pm-7pm)

Enter the expressive world of contemporary dance with us! While it may look loose and fluid from a stage, there’s a lot of hard work, intention, and technique behind this style. This semester we’ll learn a full body warm up, travel steps, turns, leaps, floor work, exercises on improvisation, and connecting physicality with emotion. Dancers will need a shirt/leotard and shorts/leggings they can comfortably dance and stretch in with hair pulled back away from face.

1st-8th grade students Musical Theatre with Coley Warren (including performances of The Lion King Experience) (Thursday's 4pm-6pm)

_Welcome to the Pride Lands! We will spend the semester diving into The Lion King Experience to become strong musical theatre performers and perform a fully produced show! For any level of performer, we will specifically look at character development and storytelling from reading our script, how to understand singing as a character, and creating movement through dance. We will have a weekend of performances for family, friends, and the general public in November! DATES TBD. Scripts will be provided within the first couple of weeks. Please bring a water bottle and snack if needed, or money to purchase here. Depending on costumes, be prepared to provide shoes (probably street shoes they already own), some costume pieces, and undergarments for backstage. _

Open level dance skills with Mackenzie Dukes (Saturday's 10am-11am)

Drop-in for this punch card class to work any skills you may be lacking in your dance portfolio. Open to all skill levels, the instructor will focus on the different skill and technique every week and work individually to help dancers grow in their craft. We’ll be focusing our different classes this fall on flexibility, leaps, pirouettes, traveling turns, jumps, port des bras (classical arm placements and positions), stage presence, and so much more! Dancers need to come in comfortable clothing and have pulled back hair.
